Spring in New York is full of excitement. When the sun comes out, the flowers start blooming and the weather warms up, New Yorkers can head out and explore new exhibits, flower shows at the botanic gardens and there are always new public art displays outdoors to brighten up a spring day. Brooklyn Botanic Garden: Cherry Blossom Season

Scandinavia House

Little Island
Head over to Little Island at Pier 55 and enjoy the blossoming flowers, gentle breeze off the Hudson River and the park’s lush greenery. Experience nature and art along the perfect vantage point to see iconic views of the city.

NYC Spring Ballet 
Experience the magic of dance at the NYC Ballet’s spring season, featuring iconic works by Balanchine and Robbins, along with captivating premieres by Peck and Garner. From the graceful elegance of classical ballet to the vibrant energy of contemporary pieces, immerse yourself in a season filled with artistic brilliance and storytelling that culminates in Balanchine’s enchanting adaptation of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (April 23 – June 2, 2024).

The Met Cloisters
The Cloisters, also known as the Met Cloisters located in Fort Tryon Park, is the perfect day escape this spring. Roam the halls with fascinating exhibits from the European medieval art and architecture period, with a focus on the Romanesque and Gothic periods.

The High Line
Stop and smell the flowers on The High Line, the west side’s most famous walkway, especially when the weather gets nice. You make an entire day out of it…check out the art installations, nearby Little Island, Chelsea Market, and more. Make sure to check out the new art installations along the way designed by national and international artists, like Thank You Darling, Curtain Call and Old Tree. While you are there be sure to stop by Little Island and Chelsea Market.
