Dinner in Midtown East can certainly be an elaborate affair. Glamorous hangouts where it’s no surprise to spot celebrities and elegant eateries touting multiple Michelin stars aren’t uncommon. But the lineup of more casual venues is just as impressive, running the gamut from Italian to Indian.

Gyu-Kaku Midtown
This NYC-centric chain of Japanese steakhouses gets great reviews for its very unique approach to their steaks. Guests have the option of sitting at a table with a stove embedded in the center so they can barbeque their meat to their own liking.
