30 Rockefeller Center’s spectacular open-air observation deck rivals the Empire State Building. Top of the Rock Observation Deck offers a view of Gotham from 70 stories up also exhibiting the full sprawl of Central Park.

The highest outdoor observation deck in the Western Hemisphere is right here at Hudson Yards. Edge Observation Deck takes you 65 feet into the sky making it the highest public balcony in NYC. The deck not only features panoramic views of our city’s skyline, but a killer vantage point below.

Crowds have clamored for the chance to ride the high-speed elevators to floors 100 through 102 of One World Trade Center. There is nothing that can compare to the panoramic views more than 1,250 feet above the city’s streets. The One World Observatory offers dining options as well.

Located in Brooklyn, Sunset Park offers a great view of the Manhattan Skyline and the Statue of Liberty.

The Valentino Pier located in Red Hook is one of the best places to catch a NYC sunset. Jutting out into the East River, you can spy the Statue of Liberty, Governor’s Island, Manhattan’s Skyline, Staten island, and the New York Harbor.

What is more classic than a trip up the Empire State Building. The most famous of the city’s observation decks deserves the hype. If New York’s cityscape does not affect you, the crisp breeze on the 86-story-high open-air deck certainly will.

The Gantry Plaza State Park offers 12-acres of waterside greenery, playgrounds and courts in this Long Island City park. It is made more glorious by the East River and the famous skyscrapers rising west of the gentle waves. Visit at sunset when the yellow, pink, and orange skies switch on at the Chrysler and Empire State buildings.
